North County Volunteer Opportunities:

North County serves homeless students K-12 grades from Depoe Bay to Otis. Our HELP Center is located at Taft Elementary School. Below are the various ways to help our homeless students. Contact Lynn Foster, the North County Volunteer Coordinator at 541-996-4878 or Lauren.Arntt@lincoln.k12.or.us with questions or to begin the volunteer application process. Volunteers are needed to support our homeless students for:

Middle & High School Tutoring at Taft High School

Elementary Tutoring at Afterschool program at Taft Elementary (TASC)

Tutoring at Neighbors for Kids in Depoe Bay after school

LIFT (free parent/child preschool)

Teen Parent Daycare at Taft High during school hours

Clothing/Resource Closet at the HELP Center and at Taft 7-12

Office Duties at HELP Center or Neighbors for Kids

Episodic Volunteer Opportunities:

Class, Club or Workshop Facilitator

Read & Feed Volunteer

Community Job Shadow Mentor

Fundraising /Special Events

Other ways to help:

Baby Wipes

Gift Certificates

Gift Baskets

Collect Donations

Snacks to give to the students in our programs

(Granola bars, fruit strips, crackers, apples, cheese sticks, etc.)

Children’s clothes

(Winter items, hats, mittens, etc.)

Financial Donations

All funds directly benefit homeless youth
